Commission a Pet Portrait

I create custom pencil portraits that honor the bond between pets and their people. Whether it’s a soulful-eyed pup, a mischievous cat, or a beloved creature of any kind, I work from your favorite photo to craft a one-of-a-kind heirloom— hand drawn with good old fashion graphite and charcoal on paper, never digital. Each piece is made with care, time, and a deep respect for the story behind the face.

Here is a simple 3 step overview of how the process works from photos to delivery.

STEP 1: SEND REFERENCE PHOTOS
‘The better the photo, the better the portrait.’
Please send me 3 to 5 photos of your pet. The more you send, the better I can advise on what will translate into a strong drawing. Great photos are not always great drawing references, so I will help you choose the best option.

PHOTO TIPS (OPTIONAL BUT HELPFUL)
Aim for eye level rather than looking down. Use natural window light if possible.
Avoid heavy filters. On a phone, use the 2x lens to reduce distortion. Include at least two close-ups of the face.

STEP 2: SIZE AND QUOTE
Due to time constraints and high demand, I'm currently offering two sizes. Paper sizes 5x7 and 8x10. After we pick the reference image, I can recommend a paper size that suits the pose and composition if you would like.

Pricing:

5x7: 1 Pet = $65

5x7: 2 Pets = $120

8x10: 1 Pet = $95

8x10: 2 Pets = $180

STEP 3: PROGRESS AND APPROVAL:
As I reach the final stages, I will send clear photos for your review. You are welcome to request minor reasonable adjustments. I will not ship/deliver until you are happy with the drawing.

TIMELINE:
Depending on my schedule, expect anywhere from 2-4 weeks for completion. A small digital snapshot will be emailed for approval before shipping. If you have a specific date in mind, please let me know and I will do my best to accommodate it.

PAYMENT METHODS:
Once you approve of the finished progress photo, I will supply a payment form to you via PayPal. Once confirmed, I will ship your drawing
